The Central Flea!

The Central Flea is an exciting new partnership between New England Open Markets and Central Square Business Association. The Central Flea is a ode to our roots; a Cambridge-style flea welcoming all styles of goods from Boston Art and Vintage to Afro-punk  and Salvage, Food Trucks to Fair Trade. All are welcome to join us in celebrating Urban Diversity in the cultural epicenter of Cambridge, Central Square! Held the last Sunday of the month: July 30, August 27, September 24 and October 29.

The Central Flea is held in the heart of Central Square at 95 Prospect Street, just a 4 minute walk from the Central T stop, surrounded by some hot spots to the likes of Whole Foods, Improv Boston, Workbar, and IDEO Cambridge, to name a few.

10x 20 Space = $65

*additional fees include a $10 Cambridge licensing fee and $25 Temp food permit fee for food vendors

    Tax ID Certificates:
    Tax ID Numbers are required in Massachusetts. All Exhibitors must be in compliance with State & Federal Tax Laws and display Tax ID Certificate in booth. This is required for both in state and out of state vendors. If you do not have a tax id certificate, you can obtain one online in a few minutes at no cost. Click HERE to register with the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.

    Health and License Requirements: Food Vendors Only*
    If accepted, each vendor will be required to obtain a Cambridge Board of HealthTemporary Food Service Permit. Additionally, you must pass health and fire inspections prior to the event start time on the days of the festival. In order to obtain the temporary health permit you must email us the following documents after submitting your application below:

    1. Food Truck Permit
    2. Serve Safe Documentation
    3. License from certified inspected kitchen/commissary

    Setup/Breakdown, Booth Assistance :
    A comprehensive setup email will be sent to accepted vendors the week prior to each scheduled market with your space and time assignment. Our staff will be assisting during setup/breakdown, and will be onsite throughout day to address your needs. 

      Join Our Facebook Vendor Resource Page:
      A private group has been created for accepted vendors. This new page will be an internal resource page for accepted vendors of New England Open Markets only. Our staff will post reminders, updates, social media campaigns and other important info pertaining to the markets. Vendors may also use this new group page as an open forum to share ideas, suggestions and to sell products to each other. We encourage you to join after being accepted. 

      ABOUT CENTRAL SQ & CSBA
      Central Square is a Cultural District, a designation that ties our diverse communities together through our unique proliferation of public art, entertainment, education, food and street culture. Central Square is the originator and host of exciting cultural events – occurring nightly and seasonally.       Promoter Statement:
      The Central Flea man­agers and pro­mot­ers reserve the right to restrict or ter­mi­nate any vendor’s activ­ity or remove any prod­uct, which, in their opin­ion, is objec­tion­able or inap­pro­pri­ate or is detri­men­tal to the qual­ity of the event as a whole. In the event of any restric­tions or evic­tions, the Central Flea and its affil­i­ates will not be liable for any refund of rental or other expenses. The Central Flea man­agers and pro­mot­ers reserves the right to remove, with­out refund or recourse, any exhibitor who mis­rep­re­sents him­self or his prod­uct. In addi­tion, the pro­moter reserves the right not to select ven­dors who may not be suit­able for the market. The Central Flea reserves the right to amend or add to the applic­a­ble rules per­tain­ing to and gov­ern­ing the We Love Local at any time dur­ing and before the oper­at­ing sea­son without notice. The inter­pre­ta­tion of all the rules by the pro­mot­ers shall be final.
