The Central Flea is a ode to our roots; a Cambridge-style flea welcoming all styles of goods from Boston Art and Vintage to Afrocentric and Salvage, Food Trucks to Fair Trade. All are welcome to join us in celebrating Urban Diversity in the cultural epicenter of Cambridge, Central Square! Held every Sunday, May through October.
EVERY SUNDAY, MAY THROUGH OCTOBER
The Central Flea is held in the heart of Central Square at 95 Prospect Street, just a 4 minute walk from the Central T stop, surrounded by some hot spots to the likes of Whole Foods, Improv Boston, Work-bar, and IDEO Cambridge, to name a few.
Makers, Vintage, Imports, & Prepared Food:
10 x 10 Reserved Space = $40
10x10 Standby Space = $60
10x 20 Reserved Space = $65
Fashion Truck Reserved = $65
Food Trucks Reserved = $125
* additional fees include a $10 Cambridge licensing fee and $25 Temp food permit fee for food vendors
* standby vendors may come the day of the market with no reservation needed, if there is room availiable
you may vend for the day, Credit card or cash is accepting on site the day of, Due to advance food permitting by the City of Cambridge, we only accept non-food vendors the day of as standby*

Tents & Equipment:
All vendors must supply their own necessary tents, displays, signs, tables and other equipment needed to vend at the Central Flea, We do not supply or rent any items.
Tax ID Certificates:
Tax ID Numbers are required in Massachusetts. All Exhibitors must be in compliance with State & Federal Tax Laws and display Tax ID Certificate in booth. This is required for both in state and out of state vendors. If you do not have a tax id certificate, you can obtain one online in a few minutes at no cost. Click HERE to register with the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.
Health and License Requirements: Food Vendors Only*
If accepted, each vendor will be required to obtain a Cambridge Board of HealthTemporary Food Service Permit. Additionally, you must pass health and fire inspections prior to the event start time on the days of the festival. In order to obtain the temporary health permit you must email us the following documents after submitting your application below:
- Food Truck Permit
- Serve Safe Documentation
- License from certified inspected kitchen/commissary
A comprehensive setup email will be sent to accepted vendors the week prior to each scheduled market with your space and time assignment. Our staff will be assisting during setup/breakdown, and will be onsite throughout day to address your needs.
In the event that you’ve been accepted into the market but have to cancel, we offer full refunds up to one month prior to the market date. After that, we offer a 50% discount on cancellations until two weeks prior to the market date. If you cancel within two weeks of the date of the market, we do not offer refunds of any amount due to the proximity of the event. Once you cancel, you forfeit your spot in the market and you are not permitted to sell or trade your space.
The Central Flea is a rain or shine market. By choosing to participate in a rain or shine market, vendors assume all risks associated with adverse weather conditions. In the event of a closing due to severe weather, reserved vendors will receive a credit only for a future market date.

A private group has been created for accepted vendors. This new page will be an internal resource page for accepted vendors of New England Open Markets only. Our staff will post reminders, updates, social media campaigns and other important info pertaining to the markets. Vendors may also use this new group page as an open forum to share ideas, suggestions and to sell products to each other. We encourage you to join after being accepted.

Central Square is a Cultural District, a designation that ties our diverse communities together through our unique proliferation of public art, entertainment, education, food and street culture. Central Square is the originator and host of exciting cultural events – occurring nightly and seasonally. Special events in C2 include the Central Elements and the Cambridge Science Festival, The World’s Fair, The Taste of Cambridge, A Festival of Dumplings, Pop-up Mini Golf, Lunch in the Park, Farmer’s Markets, A Superhero 5k, and the City Wide Dance Party, drawing annual audiences to the square in excess of 1,000,000 happy event-going people.
Central Square is constantly evolving while staying true to its core identity as an authentic, unique and eclectic place to live, work and play. The Square is part of the MIT and Cambridge College campuses and has long been a destination for students, faculty, visiting scholars, artists, and creative business owners due to our rich and varied cultural activities.
The Central Flea managers and promoters reserve the right to restrict or terminate any vendor’s activity or remove any product, which, in their opinion, is objectionable or inappropriate or is detrimental to the quality of the event as a whole. In the event of any restrictions or evictions, the Central Flea and its affiliates will not be liable for any refund of rental or other expenses. The Central Flea managers and promoters reserves the right to remove, without refund or recourse, any exhibitor who misrepresents himself or his product. In addition, the promoter reserves the right not to select vendors who may not be suitable for the market. The Central Flea reserves the right to amend or add to the applicable rules pertaining to and governing the We Love Local at any time during and before the operating season without notice. The interpretation of all the rules by the promoters shall be final.
